Goethe had a dramatic influence as a result of his perceptiveness. Goethe realized that there was a transition in European sensibilities occurring at the time in which an increasing focus on sense, emotions, and the indescribable was coming to the fore. Goethe was not overly emotional however, on the contrary he actually lauded personal restraint and often vocalized his distaste for excess, “There is nothing worse than imagination without taste”. Goethe believed that a “formative impulse” which is operative in every organism causes an organism to form itself according to its own distinct laws. Such an argument was inherently opposed to the notion that rational laws could be imposed from a higher sphere such as from an “enlightened” monarch.

Goethe wrote in his Scientific Studies: “We conceive of the individual animal as a small world, existing for its own sake, by its own means. Every creature is its own reason to be. All its parts have a direct effect on one another, a relationship to one another, thereby constantly renewing the circle of life; thus we are justified in considering every animal physiologically perfect.” Why not use your IWantOneOfThose discount codes to buy his Scientific Studies?

I was pondering what the best jobs in the world are a few days ago, and came up with some pretty notable suggestions. The most obviously remarkable is the job of Formula One driver. They get to fly around the world, driving the fastest most powerful cars on the planet, they get paid an absolute fortune, and they are greeted by swarms of adoring women who hang on their every word. However, there are also downsides; being mobbed by paparazzi, or having to attend never-ending press conferences.

Another candidate was that of astronauts, who are the only people who ever have the privilege of leaving the earth’s atmosphere for the almost limitless boundaries of Space. However, again under scrutiny it doesn’t stack up; many have to spend two years or more in the confinements of space shuttles, eating nothing but flavourless food designed to be lightweight and small.
So again i changed my mind, and decided that the ultimate job is one with benefits, but no pressures. What kind of job offers that you ask? the job of being a UK national lottery winner. What a job!

One of my favourite bands at the moment is Touché Amoré, a post-hardcore band from Boston who are pretty unique and totally awesome.
They formed in 2007 and have released a few EPs, but the release of their first full length ...To the Beat of a Dead Horse in 2009 is what really caught people's attention. It got solid reviews from a lot of hard-hitting media press and ended up on many 'best of 2009' album lists. I've got absolutely all of their music stored on my r4i gold, it's just too good to miss.

They've toured with pretty hard-hitting bands too, including Bane, Converge, Fall of Troy, La Dispute, Pianos Become the Teeth, Title Fight and Thursday to name but a few. Funnily enough I first heard of Touché Amoré in an interview that Aaron Bedard of Bane with a London based website, where he was bigging them up.
They released their second album 'Parting The Seas Between Darkness And Me' this year and came over to the UK to play the Hevy Music festival and do a co-headlining tour with their long-time friends and tour buddies La Dispute. If you missed these shows, you missed out!

Violet is a colour that is equivalent to bluish purple and has the shortest wavelength on the visible spectrum, between 380 nm and 450 nm. Humans find it rather difficult to differentiate between darker shades of violet as humans are relatively insensitive to such short wavelengths. The first documented mention of the word ‘violet’ as a colour name in the English language occurred in 1370.

In Religion violet crops up much more often than gu10 led bulbs do! In Christianity, violet is the liturgical colour used in Advent and Lent. There is also a stained glass window dating the 1920s in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels which has God in a violet robe. Philippino Roman Catholic priests wear violet in place of black at Masses for the dead due to the temperature in the Philippines. In the Hindu religion, the seventh, crown chakra is represented by violet.

“In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins has generated an urban legend concerning its meaning. The legend goes that Collins witnessed someone drowning and saw with disgust that a second person allowed it to happen. Some versions of the story even have Collins singling out the guilty individual at a concert in a song. Collins has denied all these stories, saying: “I don’t know what this song is about. When I was writing it I was going through a divorce. And the only thing I can say about it is that it’s obviously in anger. It’s the angry side, or the bitter side of a separation. So what makes it even more comical is when I hear these stories which started many years ago, particularly in America. Someone cames up to me and said, ‘Did you really see someone drowning?’ I said, ‘No, wrong.’ And then every time I go back to America they story gets Chinese whispers, it gets more and more elaborate”. Now you know the truth, get yourself some sennheiser headphones and have another litsen!
